Christmas time is especially special when there are little ones in the house. My girls are growing up so fast, that I am making sure I treasure the magic that it still holds for them as they continue to talk about Santa, his reindeer, the elves and the anticipation of Christmas morning. GOOD TASTE - The Best Cupcake Recipe

Looking to bake some cupcakes from scratch? Here is the best recipe ever!

INGREDIENTS
150g soft butter
150g sugar
Half a teaspoon vanilla essence
3 eggs
150g Flour
1 and half teaspoons baking powder
50ml milk

MAKES 12 Cupcakes

DIRECTIONS
1. Set the oven baking temperature at 180 degrees.
2. Cream together the butter and sugar.
3. Add the vanilla essence. 
4. Beat the eggs and slowly add to the mixture.
5. Separately sieve together the flour and baking powder. 
6. Mix into the wet mixture at a low speed.
7. Slowly add the milk to the mixture.
8. Fill the cupcake cases three quarters full and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

It's Washi tape Wednesday and we found a great idea from Martha Stewart Weddings. Here they used flagging tape but Washi tape would work just as well to make a photo booth backdrop. Perfect for a party and I also think a good idea to decorate a room on a budget or for the background of your Christmas card! (yes! I said it "Christmas!").

Halloween is "in the house"! And pretty creepy stuff indeed. My favourite is the Haunted House centrepiece. I just finished making one to display in the shop and it is pretty amazing if I say so myself. It even has a little mini side table in the bedroom that lights up! It is really easy to make and is a great price of 24CHF - and your kids could even make it up as a little Halloween party activity.
