GOOD LOOKS - A Fairy Magic Birthday Party

do you believe in fairies?

Experience the magic and wonder of a Fairy Magic Birthday Party with these top ideas and our Meri Meri Collection featuring fashionable fairies and adorable stylised flowers!

SHHH! FAIRIES AT PLAY
Host your party outdoors, ideally in park or a garden with big trees – this way your party area is already partially decorated. To personalise the place, start decorating the space with pretty poms and tissue paper garlands that look like peonies!

SECRET HIDEOUT
For free play, or over a low table string up a mosquito net. Little girls will love playing in it, especially if decorated with delicate fairies, flowers and butterflies – and best of all lasts long after the party!

PRETTY PLACES
Decorate place settings with fairy themed paper cups, plates, napkins and the final touch? A magical star-topped wand of course!

MINI MORSELS
Combine healthy snacks like cucumber tea sandwiches, baby cheese rounds and slices of watermelon with treats of marshmallow flowers, mushroom sweets and “toadstool” macaroons. You will be amazed at their delight of drinking “dew drops” as opposed to good old-fashioned water.

FAIRY DUST IN THE AIR
A fairy party is not complete without fairy cakes! Make a statement by decorating the cupcakes with the cupcake kit and placing these on the tiered cupcake stand. Hand each child an iced cupcake and let them decorate their cupcake with magical fairy dust by filling small glass tubes with edible glitter.

THE GREAT FAIRY HUNT
Have your little guests hunt for fairies. Make up little hunting kits by filling a party bag with a magnifying glass, small net (TIP: buy ones from a pet shop used for fish tanks) a glass catching jar and glitter in tubes so as to attract the fairies. Each child gets their kit and is set off to find as many fairies as they can – use the left over cupcake toppers as your fairies.

GOOD LOOKS - Dinosaur Party

roar!

Give your little dinosaur enthusiast the birthday party of a lifetime by decorating with our Dinosaur Roar Party Supplies.

This sweet Jurassic theme features cool cartoon T-Rex, Stegosaurus and Triceratops print on a stellar sky blue background.

Plus here are some other quick party ideas...
GOOD IDEAS:

Buy big dinosaur figurine toys and a pack of small dinosaur stickers to make food picks and decorate food parcels and drinking glasses.

To create a centrepiece cut giant fern leaves from the garden and place these in tall glass vases with a little bit of water. This adds height to the table and creates a canopy over the dinosaurs – very realistic and so super easy to do.

For food, scour the aisle of the local supermarket there are some great finds: chips shaped like T-Rex Claws, chocolate cupcakes with pushed in speckled eggs to look like Terradaptial Nests. Healthy choice options include crudites and wraps already prepackaged but decorated with dinosaur stickers. And for drinks water dyed with green food colouring meets the green factor mark!

Wrap all the presents in the same colour, so lots of green wrapping paper, green ribbons and even green sweets. This tower of gifts can then form part of the décor.

GOOD LOOKS - DIY Lemonade Stand

lemonade folks!

Inspired by a recent “fake” lemonade  and bake sale fair stand we did, here is a GOOD PLAN for you to set up a real Lemonade Stand.

MATERIALS
LEMONADE Garland or Poster (download our free poster here) Fold up table or crate(s)(I found this one in COOP Bau and Hobby)
Paper Cups or Glasses
Jug or Dispenser to put the lemonade in
Paper Straws (optional)
Change - be sure to put your money jar or till in a safe place.
A BIG SMILE!

DIRECTIONS
Get your parents okay. Maybe your dad or brother or friend can help?
Set up your stand and put up your banner where people can read it.
You don’t want to be under or over priced. So charge for example 1CHF for 1 cup and 4CHF for 5.

Vary your products! Instead of just plain lemonade, offer pink lemonade, too. Maybe purchase or bake a couple of cupcakes, cookies or snacks and display on platters - check out these.
